Omg surprise dog toys to help him trn! - (Page 4)

We have a 7 month old labrador retriever and this weekend we will be moving to Florida. We've had him since he was 5 weeks old.

I found an adorable surprise dog toy, I'm so excited. It's a dog whistle, but it's shaped like a dog bone. He loves to play fetch and this toy is the perfect size. I've attached a picture of him in my room playing with the dog bone.

My question is...is there something better then this for trning? I'm a little hesitant to spend $25.00, but it seems sooo cute.

We are moving to FL. When I do it it will be our 6th move in 15 months. We don't like change, but we are moving for my husband's work. He has been transferred so he will be gone 6 weeks strght, then he will come home and spend two weeks with me.

I had a guy tell me recently about a dog toy that is similar to your picture in that it's a bone but it has a whistle on the end of it and that it works for obedience trning. He sd it is a trning d, but his dog still goes crazy playing with it. It was $10 and I can't remember the name of the toy. It may have been the "Woof!" bone.

Thanks for all the responses. I do have the Woof! bone, and I was thinking of using that with the whistle. I've used it before with another toy, and he just goes nuts playing with it. I've attached some of the pictures he uses with it.

If it is a trning d, do you have any problems with the whistle blowing out?

My dog is a rescue and I have found it hard to trn her. She doesn't like to be corrected. So my goal is to trn her to play fetch with me using a whistle instead of a toy. It's been a pn in my butt but she likes it and it's working.

I did my research on this topic a while back and came across a dog toy that was meant to be used for trning. I got a couple for my dog and my dog seemed to like them. She wasn't as crazy over them as she was the bone or ball. But she did seem to appreciate the sound of the whistle. I have one of them that is a ball and I can't remember the other. I will have to go back and try to find it. But in any case, they work fine, you just have to put up with your dog jumping up on you and taking the whistle from you every time it goes off. I guess I'd consider that a plus as well! lol.

We had one where the whistle wouldn't blow out and it just sat there rattling agnst the bone. But for the most part, he seems to not have that problem.

I'm going to give this one a try with my dogs.

It's a good idea to get a whistle with a stronger wind to blow.

We have a 6 month old dog. His name is Bley. He's a mix of Lab and Border Collie.

He gets in trouble about everything. He's a little spoiled, and we've had a lot of trouble getting him to sit.

We got the Woof bone from a breeder and it didn't do anything for him. I know there's something that I need to try to get him to focus on and use it for, and I'm looking for some ideas.
